Sailor Press aims to offer an alternative to publishing restricted by the constraints of institutions or larger publishers. In close dialogue and collaboration with the artists we develop publications that explore the artist's work as well as the book as a medium. The content of the book and the book as object are equally important.
The presentation at OOR marks the start of a new paralell path, exploring the immaterial and material aspects of the book and its making, such as sounds. 
Sailor Press is founded and run by book designer Matilda Plöjel.

The series of publications by Magnus Thierfelder and Carl Lindh is an attempt to combine two different artistic practices; two approaches, two interests, two archives. It is a close examination, a listening to the details of the everyday. The publication is the space where these two positions are paralleled – the seen and the heard. Paired under the same heading it appears somewhere between the still image and the sound, between the visual and the audible. Somewhere between your eyes and ears.
Magnus Thierfelder and Carl Lindh are artists based in Malmö, Sweden. Their collaborative project is a continuous investigation of the possibilities within visual translations of sound and audible representations of image. Their works are juxtapositions of things seen and heard. Both of them spend a lot of time walking, observing the details in things and events that surround us in our everyday life.
